Hello there! I’m honored that you are considering me to review your novel!

I am currently OPEN to review requests. However, at the moment, I’m being pretty picky because I’m up to my eyeballs in books. All requests that make it clear that you have not read my review policy of acceptable review requests will be deleted. My time is important to me, as I’m sure yours is to you, so I’m appreciative when you take the time to read my policy. I just don’t have time to respond when you do not.

PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:

I am always happy to hear from publishers and authors about books, but unfortunately, I cannot make guarantees about reviews. This blog is a passion project and I have a full-time job with a lengthy commute that prevents me from being able to spend as much as I’d like on it.
I only respond to offers that interest me.
I appreciate having the easiest possible way to transfer assets, being able to download directly from an email or pre-coded items work best.
I am on GoodReads, Bookstagram(Instagram).
I may point out potentially sensitive or offensive elements to readers at the end of a review. These elements do not affect how I feel about a book and are completely separate from my recommendations.

Non-fiction requests: I do read non-fiction but I’m pretty selective about what I read and have not found a review request that has been what I’d read so I’m closing those off.

I want to be honest about my experience reading your novel, so I want a finished, edited copy to review!

IN YOUR REQUESTS, PLEASE INCLUDE:

Name of your novel
Your name
A summary of your novel
The release date
The genre that your novel is written in
Where the book can be found (Goodreads, for example) and where it can be bought(Amazon, for example)

Please keep in mind that I take a month post receiving the book to put out the review. If it’s a digital copy, then this can go up to one month and fifteen days to two months. I TRY and read as fast and as many books as I can but my TBR is mostly always full so, I take longer with some books. If I am taking longer than a month to read and review, you will be informed the same beforehand.

In some cases, authors and/or publishers want the review to go up at a specific time (before/on/after) the release of the book. In such cases, prior intimation regarding this should be sent my way at the earliest as that greatly influence my decision and I will have to see if we can commit to that timeline.

I MAY DENY A REQUEST IF:

I am not interested in the novel in question–the synopsis just doesn’t appeal to me.
I don’t want to accept a book I might not actually read because
- someone else might like to read the book more than me,
- If you’re an indie author, printing books is an expensive process and I don’t want to accept books I might not read because they aren’t cheap to print,
- I’ve learned to be a lot pickier with which books I choose to read.
If it is in a format I do not accept.
If it is a book in a genre that I do not like.
If I already have a lot of books to read for review.
I do accept ARCs, but only from publishers and agents. Self-published authors—please send a book that is edited.

My opinions on the following: world-building, characters, and plot.
I usually have a spoiler-free and a spoiler-filled section. Prior warnings are given before talking about the spoiler’s section.
I believe in honesty when I write a review, even if it seems harsh, I don’t always intend it to be so, I’m just telling the truth from what I experienced.
I am very meticulous, so don’t take to heart something that I say that you might not agree with, because I am a slightly picky reader.
Please be aware that I do not commit to reviewing any book I receive, and I do not promise to review any book positively.

All my reviews are the personal opinions of someone who reads for pleasure in his free time. I do not review books by any author with whom I might have a personal connection, either online or in person.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I ACCEPT YOUR BOOK FOR REVIEW?

Before sending me a review request please understand that by accepting or receiving a book, I do not guarantee that it will be read immediately or posted on the blog immediately. I’ve got an ever-growing stack of books that I want to read and a pretty busy life as well as that I’m very much a mood reader. I will try my very best to read and review promptly but it’s not always doable.
If the book is an ARC, I will try and publish the review on or around the release date and not before.
I also reserve the right to NOT post a review of your book should I not feel comfortable doing so. This could be because I’ve run out of time, didn’t really have anything to say about it, etc.
Any book that I read, the review for it goes up on my GoodReads, blog, and Amazon India. It can also get a feature on my Instagram.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DIDN'T ENJOY YOUR BOOK?

All of my reviews are and will be my honest opinion and is quite possible that I won’t enjoy your book and my review will be clear of that. Please understand that I will not write a glowing review just because you sent me the book. Not my style, sorry. I spend time reading a book and I feel like I reserve the right to talk about that experience-even if it’s negative.
I also understand that as a reader, not every single book that I read would appeal to me. That, there can be chances when I really can't finish a book or just don’t like the story enough. In such cases, my reviews would strictly talk about the book and the book alone, I TRY NOT TO ATTACK the author personally in any way whatsoever.

Now, I am also aware that as a reader, I do like to experiment and pick up new genres or try books that I otherwise wouldn’t normally pick up at times as a reader. So, if you’re someone whose book doesn’t fall into any of these categories mentioned above or you think you can manage to pique my interest in your book, then please feel free to reach out.
